Advice for Businesses in the North East and Newcastle

Internet or E marketing is essentially all forms of marketing online using websites, online adverts and other means to sell your product, service or brand. Without a doubt the internet is the biggest growth area in marketing activity of the last 20 years and will continue to become more and more important in the future.

There are six main areas of internet or “E” marketing.

Search Engine Optimisation
Pay per Click
E mail marketing
Affiliate Schemes
Viral
Banner Advertising Online
Internet marketing, done well, may well be the best form of marketing you have ever undertaken. Problem is doing it well, or even doing it at all.
Look at everything that will improve your business and the leads you get from the internet. So what can you do?
First, look at your website - when a visitor lands on your website what are they compelled to do? Think about what you need to do to increase the conversion rates of those who arrive at your site.
Next, look at how to drive more traffic to your website using a combination of internet marketing strategies.
Finally, get the traffic coming back by implementing an email marketing strategy.
So there it is: three simple steps to getting your site producing the leads and business to its full capacity. All you need to do is have a little patience. Remember your website should follow the same principles of all good marketing:
Attention, interest, Desire, Action.
Affiliate Schemes
Affiliate marketing essentially is allowing other websites to have representation on your site and then when people click through and buy from them you receive a “kick back”. Amazon do this very well with many websites having Amazon products shown on many diverse websites al linking back to products on Amazon. There are many forms of this however and could indeed provide an additional income stream to your website.
Viral Marketing
Everyone will have seen the funny or bizarre email sent to you and a whole mailing list before. Often these are cleverly designed branding exercises with a subtle message attached designed to get people to send it through their personal contacts. This is good for branding although not ideal for direct messages in most instances.
