LG Decoy is a great phone in disguise. With its apparently simplistic outlook, it surprises the unsuspected with the hidden gem on its back - the separable bluetooth earpiece. This is the first time where we have seen a phone having a integrated bluetooth earpiece which comes bundled with the handset.
The LG Decoy is the world's first handset with an integrated Bluetooth headset. The good thing is that the bluetooth earpiece simply recharges on its own when placed back into its storage slot at the back of the phone. The address book can store a whopping 1000 contacts to help you stay connected with all friends and business associates. The LG Decoy comes with a capable web browser and EV-DO technology which allows users to surf websites on the go at high speed and stream video on the go on the 2.2 inch display. LG Decoy has music playback functionality which supports streaming music. The sound can be a little tinny and is not the best out there for personal smart phones.
With 50MB internal memory, LG Decoy has included a storage expansion facility via microSD memory card. The Decoy is also capable of voice commands, instant messaging (Windows Live Messenger, AIM, and Yahoo Messenger are supported), and e-mail.
The LG Decoy has a 2 megapixel camera like many standard phones. Average compared to the current industry standard, but still allows you to capture photos at acceptable quality. However, this little pocket device also has a handy camcorder feature to capture those magical moments and those all important must remember moments. It has a robust battery stamina lasting 320 minutes talk time and can remain in stand by for around 330 hours. This phone will always look pretty while it is waiting to be employed or while being kept on a shelf. However; with the high glossy finish, the surface will be consistently smudged with fingerprints.
Overall, for a midrange personal communication device, the LG Decoy has plenty of features to keep you connected without the expense of additional bells and whistles that you might not need. For keeping connected without the distraction of games, special memory eating gizmos, and unnecessary features, the LG Decoy is not a bad pick for daily communication use.
