It appears as if the cost for gasoline is not the only thing has abruptly zoomed to an insurmountable price. Nowadays we are hearing news that the manufacturing for Biodiesel is slowly coming to a standstill as makers are unable to keep up with the financial problems that are gripping the nation.
Several of the producers for Biodiesel are either trimming back at how much they drop or are quitting production entirely. What was formerly a very lucrative fuel for individuals to utilise is troubled because of the price of the soybeans that makes up 80% of the fuel in the country. The price for this component has doubled within the last year to a price of $11.50 per bushel.
Analysts are trusting though that the market will level before the end of the year and the production is able to get back to where it was. But for now they have to pay $3 per gallon in order to pay for the purification process and shipping of the fuel. One thing customers can look forward to is the $1 gallon tax credit that they can get from the government. Unfortunately they are still turning a loss even with this rebate.
The step-up of the cost for soybeans is not well known. Some believe that there is less of a supply in South America where they get them from. Others believe that individuals are preparing for the future and raising the costs early.
The best way to fight back is to develop Biodiesel fuel using no foods. They know that to utilise food to make the fuel would cause the price for that fuel to increase because more would have to be produced for consumption for the people. However, no one is prepared to attempt it otherwise.
